This supervision workshop focuses on well-being of trainees in CSP and MPC, emotional competence, ethical and sport ecosystem factors for supervisors/mentors to consider, and a supervision/mentorship model grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Participants will leave with practical tools to help trainees build emotional competence necessary to work within sport ecosystems.

This intermediate level workshop focuses on ethical foundations for promoting psychological flexibility, which has been shown in research to promote personal and professional well-being. Participants will engage in experiential exercises based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to illustrate learned concepts with a focus on ethical practice as licensed mental health professionals (LMHPs).

This intermediate level course expands upon our popular Ethical Clairvoyance workshop by addressing ways in which social identity and culture apply to ethical decision making. With the value of hindsight, we practice strategies assisting professionals in maintaining ethically aware practice protocols. Participants also receive a workbook to help them develop an ethics action plan.

This workshop helps supervisors learn to center trainee well-being in the supervision relationship while adhering to ethical standards. Models of supervision from two different theoretical perspectives will be discussed: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) & Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). The instructors have a combined 30+ years of supervision experience.

This intermediate level workshop focuses on ethical foundations for real conversations and boundary setting for professional well-being to help navigate psychological uncertainty. Attendees learn a model to prevent burnout and develop a self-care action plan that they can use for their well-being.

This workshop is available upon request for organizations. Please contact Dr. Haugen to discuss details.

This intermediate level workshop actively engaged participants in exploring variables related to professional ethics, law, and jurisprudence. A positive model of ethical decision making was presented, and participants identified ways this model can be used for their own ethical decision making. Attendees also considered personal variables that contribute to ethical decision-making.
